12 Do’s and Don’ts for a Successful fall kickoff soccer tournament
This is a fun and unique tournament in which teams take the field on the same day with no prior knowledge of each other. It’s a great way to network, have a good time, and just have a great time.
It’s pretty much the same idea as, say, the World Cup tournaments (you can watch them here or on YouTube), except no one gets to coach. Instead the teams compete against each other for the sake of fun, and whoever gets the best score (or the fastest goal) is the winner.
The team that scores first is usually the one that wins. In this tournament, the top scorer will be the team that wins. The team that scores the most goals is usually the one that wins. For example, the second team to score the most goals wins, but if the second team scores first, all bets are off.
The point of this is to bring more attention to the upcoming FIFA World Cup. If you’re a soccer fan, you should definitely tune in. The United States, Brazil, and England have all qualified for the tournament, and the competition is only getting tougher.
I’ve seen this done before… and it worked. In 2012, the US beat England in a friendly at the World Cup. And while it was a big win, the U.S. still lost in the finals. Last year, we beat Brazil 2-1 in a friendly. And I’m not saying this to brag; I’m just saying that this will be the most competitive tournament of the year.
As a kid I’d make fun of the word “football” and the term “football” as a way to describe the game we play now. This is the game we play in the world’s most popular football league.
The World Cup is the most popular sport. There are many different types of soccer you can play and as far as I know, the US hasn’t won a World Cup in the last 5 years. So this game is probably the last chance they have to make a run at it. It’s like the World Cup of sports- it’s the biggest, most competitive event you can get involved in.
Yeah, this is another one of those games where “the people” usually don’t play, and the people who do would give you the runaround about how it’s not cool to play a sport you don’t know anything about.
This one is a different kind of event altogether. It’s an outdoor tournament held in the backyard of a middle school. The school is the site of a soccer game between two teams, and when the game ends, the players decide to form a soccer team and compete in a tournament. Everyone is invited, even the team that didn’t win.
This soccer-tournament is played all the way to the end. The tournament is played indoors in a gym. To get there you have to go through a series of doors which lead to a field and a gym. The teams are then divided into two teams of 4, and each team has to play against the other team. In the end, the team that wins will go on to play against the other team for the championship.
